Energy!

It is really funny how I used to be on the computer all the time cause I had no energy and now I don't want to be in the house. I don't post regularly but things are still going good and I go back to the doctor on Friday. I have lost 117 pounds and it has slowed down and I am having trouble with my sciatica nerve and am in therapy twice a week. Enjoy life cause I am!

100 pounds lost!

I am so excited and just can't hardly believe I have lost 100 pounds. It will be 5 months on the 28th, I never dreamed this journey would be like this. I am feeling so much better and am able to hike about 4 miles at a time learning to ride a mountain bike and have conquered about a mile at a time and I do not live where the land is flat.

WOW! It was funny because a friend asked me what I was going to do when I hit the 100 pound mark and I said call my medical doctor. She has been so encouraging through this and I needed to call her and let her now and thank her again for starting me on this wonderful journey.

I know I am rambling but this is just an AWESOME feeling. I think I am on cloud nine.

It feels great being a loser! lol

6 pounds from 100 pounds gone!

I know it has been awhile since I posted, life is busy with me as usual. Taking care of an older husband, work, and trying to be more active. I got on the scale the other morning and realized I was down 94 pounds and thought WOW this is great. Then it dawned on me that I am only 6 pounds from 100 pound mark. That just blew my mind. I have to keep telling myself this is real and I am not dreaming. I can see the difference in pictures but my mind still sees me at my highest weight. I am so pleased with this journey that I have chosen to take.

I ran into my old weight watchers leader and she did not even recognize me which made me feel good. When I spoke to her is when she knew it was me. I thought that was kinda neat.

Thanks for reading and following in my journey!

A little late in posting 3 month pictures!

Okay I have been playing with the few pictures I have taken. This is the day of surgery and right at 3 month post op. I see the difference but my little pea brain won't let me comprehend it.

90 pounds down!

Well it has been a little over 3 months since my surgery and I am feeling so much better and I am 90 pounds lighter. This journey has been awesome and each day is a new adventure.

I have had asthma and it was a majorly exercise induced, and what I mean is that if I would exercise I would start coughing until I was vomiting. I have been hiking and walking and not even using my inhaler, yes I do get out of breath but nothing like before. I am hoping to go hiking again this weekend. I feel my energy level is getting better.

Okay, I am rambling but my pants are so baggy and my underwear is even baggier so I finally bought some new underwear. To my amazement I bought 3 sizes smaller and a pair shorts 4 sizes smaller than what I had been wearing. I don't know when my mind will catch up with my body, because when I go look at the clothes I go to the size I have been used to buying knowing that they are way too big. I know this is part of the rapid weight loss.

Gone Hiking!

Well today I hiked a little over 3 miles. The hike was not on flat ground let me tell you, it was up and down rocky, sandy terrain. It was great but I got extremely tired.

Exercise

WOW! I have been trying to conquer riding a bicycle. Well today I took off and I ride it almost a mile. I know that is nothing for some people but for me that was something to brag about especially since I did not have to use my asthma inhaler.

This is pictures at a little over 2 months from surgery and 78#'s gone.

Long over due!

I am long over due on posting my wonderful progress. I have lost 78#'s and lost a little over 5inches around my waist. I still do not have all my energy back but the doctor says I need to increase my caloric intake. This is really a challenge for me since one day I eat 300 calories and the next maybe 700 and then drop back down to 300. I never thought I would have a problem eating more. I am trying to do exercises every other day if not everyday. I am also trying to learn to ride a mountain bike. I will conquer these challenges.

8 Week post op

It is very hard for me to believe is that it has been 8 weeks since my surgery. Things are going very good, I have lost 68 pounds that is so cool for me. I measured and have lost 5 inches in my waist. WOW! I go back to the doctor on Friday. I hope he will be as pleased as I am.

It is so great to be on the other side as most WLS patient refer to. I really am pleased but it is hard for me to express what I am going through but maybe I will get better.
